Writing is a joy I never saw coming. It’s something that’s kept me alive when chronic pain drove me to ground. I have a spinal cord injury. One that is not stable and might, one day, take away more function. But until that day, I will continue to live as though that’s not an option.

I published my first three novels while in the midst of an injury to my neck that slowly took my hands and legs. Then, while planning my second surgery I fell and thought I lost everything. It was the hardest year of my life, but without writing and pushing for my dreams, I would not have survived. It was the words I poured onto the page that kept my head afloat. As did those of other authors whose minds bring light to the world.

I love to write. I love to read. So, I believe that stories link us. They speak to our very beings and allow us to escape the real world to experience things we never could otherwise.
