Writing is a joy I never saw coming. It’s something that’s kept me alive when chronic pain drove me to ground. I have a spinal cord injury. One that is not stable and might, one day, take away more function. But until that day, I will continue to live as though that’s not an option.

I published my first three novels while in the midst of my second injury and while planning my second surgery. It was the hardest year of my life, but without writing and pushing for my dreams, I would not have survived. It was the words I poured onto the page that kept my head afloat. As did those of other authors whose minds bring light to the world.

I love to write. I love to read. So, I believe that stories link us. They speak to our very beings and allow us to escape the real world to experience things we never could otherwise.
